Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, depending on client needs, scheduling, and availability.

What ages do you work with?

I work with adolescents and adults. My practice includes work with teens, parents, professionals in high-pressure careers, LGBTQIA+ clients and families, and individuals navigating attentional challenges, burnout, trauma, identity development, and related concerns.

What kinds of therapy do you provide?

My approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. Depending on the needs of the client, treatment may incorporate cognitive-behavioral approaches, trauma-focused therapies, emotional regulation skills, insight-oriented work, and practical strategies for managing daily life and relationships. I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

How long are sessions?

Standard psychotherapy sessions are typically 45 minutes.

How often do clients typically attend therapy?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though frequency can vary depending on individual needs, goals, scheduling, and the nature of the work.

Do you work with parents?

Yes. Parent support and consultation are frequently an important part of treatment, particularly when working with adolescents, attentional challenges, emotional regulation concerns, trauma, or school-related stress.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not directly accept insurance, though I can provide documentation for possible reimbursement.

What is your fee?

Please contact me directly for information regarding session fees and payment policies.

How do I know whether therapy is a good fit?

Beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or difficult, particularly for people who are used to managing things on their own. An initial consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit for your needs and goals.
